Kann man eigentlich auch alternative Programmer benutzen?

Hallo Werner,

Gruss

Werner,

One can use other programmers, especially now that a E-Lab programmer is not required as a dongle for the compiler. I was most thankful to see that change, as I was worried that should I need to maintain old code and lost or broke my programmer I wouldn't be able to.

I am happy to see the compiler getting some attention. If someday support for the newer AVRs can be added that would be great, but at least it's still alive for the older parts.

Hello Robert. I am working on the new AVRs with help from others, but there is a lot to do. My first step is the serial ports.

Hallo Golf, Hallo Robert,

Hello Werner,

Another option for programming software is AVRDUDE/AVRDUDESS .

That is what I use most often now. It appears that to program the newer UPDI parts many are using a cheap serial to UPDI adapter and a python script . I have no direct experience with the newer parts but plan to start using them soon.
