Hi Merlin
Microchip new strategy. Atmel has kept everything secret.

But this is only the description for your programmers to use its interface.

The low level protocols are still secret.

Hi Merlin,
i have just installed Version 5.11 + Update
After trying to compile i found two things.
1. when compiling i get a note, like 'awaiting Program instead of Unit'
2. The program says 'missing programmer'

The first message would say to me, that it is "only" the standard version
The Second message: I thought it is no longer asked for the programmer?

Thank's for helping out.

Hi Werner.

How strange.

How did you download?

If you previously had a standard license and downloaded via PED then I can perhaps understand it. If not, then I have no idea.

For sure v5.11 does not need the programmer. I have not seen the first message, so do not know where it comes from. Can you give the exact message?

Hi Merlin,
thank's for fast response, I downloaded from your Links here
-----------
The compiler is now free for everyone.
The install is on the website here
The latest beta is here
As for the shop and ordering parts I do not know.
________

I have the original Pro Version
To be completely sure, i uninstalled the "old" Version 5.10. before installing the new free Software.
Your link seems to me the original Link for "registered users"

Hi Werner.

The link is the same. I am not updating the website much, just updating version numbers where I have to.

The install process will look completely different to the old 5.10 as it now uses Installshield Express
.
In this case, please parcel the project giving the errors into a zip file, send to me via pm and I will test here.

Thanks.

Hello Merlin,
When I start the AVR-Co software after installation, I get the message that the programmer is not connected. At this moment only the "Tutor" project is open! At this point no own projects are loaded. The message appear immediately after starting the Software.

Something else I noticed: When installing the update, the default path cannot be changed.

Now i am back again on 5.10.

Hi Werner.

OK, I'll do some tests and see if I can see what is going on. If you do decide to try again, can you take some screen dumps, please?

Thanks
