Hello, thanks for the answer..
No i have a swedish version of Win7.

I have the WinXP service pack 2 comp...... mode selected,
but no contact to the programmer

I´m gonna install it on another Win7 machine, lets see whats happen..

I have now tried to install AVRco on 3 computers, one with WinXP SP2 and i get the same error on all machines. "Programmers not found" . It installs ok everything and ISP-3 debug appears in the controlpanel with no errors, but E-LAB software can´t found it.

Edit:
Now the programmersoftware found the programmer!!!!
I had to download firmware to the programmer, and that worked, after that
the programmer shows up in the software, thats a good sign..

070523_ISP3_Deb_Std_101.pupd ,, this firmware...

Now i got it all working..

OK. This is the most recent version for your programmer.

I am happy, youself found the solution and I don't have to
investigate in a Swedish Windows.

(several years ago I had to support servers at Mazda Europe ->
Japanese Windows. This was a real challange!

Hello Gunter,

looks like, I will need help too. I am using WIN7, 32 bit. Till month ago, everything was perfect - no nonsens with "programmer not found". Then it became - once a day, three times in row, on few hours - and medicine was clear: unplug, wait and plug it back. It was the same today when I repeated this for two times. Third time I go message that device is not recognized. I switched to another USB port but again same message. Then I tried dongle from my coworker but again samo message - so it looks like, HW is not the problem. Then I uninstalled, installed,... but without any luck.

And I need to do my work...

what's about the other test:
your programmer at your coworker's PC?
Does it work there?

excellent idea but we didn't try it. And now he is not around any more for two days so I would need some other solution...

Hi,

there are no special issues with Win7/32 known.
You should
- uninstall the driver and select "remove files from disk".
- disconnect the programmer and connect it again.
- Win should then NOT be able to locate a driver for the "new device"
- just to be sure install the driver MANUALLY:
select ..E-LAB/AVRco/USB2_Driver/ELABDRV2.INF

If you change the USB port on the PC Win usually asks again for the
driver. But in this case "automatic installation" works.

Hello Gunter,

and sorry Gunter, but I have no luck and a day lost searching way to get dongle on line.

I did all you wrote, many times, I even restarted computer but there is always Windows message, that USB device is not recognized. And when I wanted to update driver from AVRco USB path, there is message, that device is not working.

Funny thing is, that everything worked, even today I made compile two times....

Any idea about next step?
