Hallo zusammen,
bei 8 MHz CPU-Takt das gleiche Ergebnis.
Am Takt liegt es scheinbar nicht.
Vielleicht findet sich ja noch eine Lösung.

Hi Klaus.

It doesn't matter what processor speed you set, the simulator still counts cycles as if it were 16MHz, as can be seen from the attached screen.

You will also see that the overflow is in the cycles field. You can see this field by clicking OK when the simulator crashes and clicking the STOP button.

Hallo Rolf,

vielleicht können Sie bei Gelegenheit die Variable, die die Zyklen anzeigt, in LongWord ändern.
Würde mich freuen, dann braucht man nicht tricksen um einen Tagesübergang zu simulieren.
Ich kann mir vorstellen, das man das Programm im Simulator auch ohne Tageswechsel mal länger
als 23 Minuten laufen lassen möchte, warum auch immer.

Hello Merlin,

do I understand correct that this crash has nothing to do with the RTC
but with the total amount of clock cycles of the CPU ?

Yes this is so.

Any simulation will crash this way if you leave it long enough.

Just a suggestion, but clock cycles are clearly unimportant when you get to this stage, although the may be important early on. Why not stop counting after a few million? or simply reset to zero when it hits a million? (or even the American billion).
