Hello Harry/Frank. I must be honest. I did not experience your problems with 6.00.01 in my tests. Nevertheless I updated the the Install to 6.00.02 and again tested by downloading via the PED onto my machine and again experienced no problems. I hope that this resolves your issues.

Hallo Harry/Frank. ich muss ehrlich sein. Deine Probleme mit 6.00.01 habe ich bei meinen Tests nicht erlebt. Nichtsdestotrotz habe ich den Install auf 6.00.02 aktualisiert und erneut getestet, indem ich ihn über das PED auf meinen Rechner heruntergeladen habe und wieder keine Probleme hatte. Ich hoffe, dass damit Ihre Probleme behoben sind.

Umm don't you download it directly from the website?
https://www.e-lab.de/downloads/AVRco/rev4/index.html

So it doesn't work for me that I can vacuum via AVRco update.
I always have to download from the website.

Ähhm Download du es nicht dirkt von der Internet Seite ?

Also bei mir geht das nicht das ich über AVRco update saugen kann.
Ich muss immer über die Internet Seite Downloaden.

Hi Frank.

If you use PED or PEDNew that does the download for you and starts the install process. Obviously for the very first time you must install AVRInst4 from the website, but after that you can install all updates AVRUpdate from the PED. It should never be necessary to uninstall AVRco.

AVRinst4 is only intended for new users, not existing ones.

Wenn Sie PED oder PEDNew verwenden, wird der Download für Sie durchgeführt und der Installationsprozess gestartet. Natürlich müssen Sie beim ersten Mal AVRInst4 von der Website installieren, aber danach können Sie alle Updates AVRUpdate von der PED installieren. Es sollte nie notwendig sein, AVRco zu deinstallieren.

AVRinst4 ist nur für neue Benutzer gedacht, nicht für bestehende Benutzer.

Hello Merlin, sorry my firewall was to blame.
Now I can update the PED and it will be installed. But an error comes up. The IDE directory is completely deleted and reinstalled, but files were missing.
So I deleted everything and started again.

1. Download AVRinst4
2. Install AVRinst4.
3. AVRco started
4. Everything ok, could compile
5. Checked for update via the PED
6. Update sucked and installed
7. IDE directory is missing files

Hallo Merlin, sorry meine Firewall war schuld.
Jetzt kann ich ein update über das PED machen und es wird auch Installiert. Aber es kommt ein Fehler. Das IDE Verzeichnis wird komplett gelöscht und neu Installiert, aber es fehlten Datein.
Also habe ich alles wieder gelöscht und neu angefangen.

1. Download AVRinst4
2. Install AVRinst4.
3. AVRco gestartet
4. Alles ok, konnte Compilieren
5. Über das PED nach update gesucht
6. Update gesaugt und Installiert
7. IDE Verzeichniss fehlen Datein

Bild 1 zeigt nach dem PED Update.

Hallo Frank.

On my machine, the update definitely does not do this. Sorry but I have no idea why it does this. I always install to the default directory Program Files(x86)\AVRco. Whether that is the issue I don't know but I would not have thought so. I will try it as soon as I can.

Have you always uninstalled and installed again?

Are there any special considerations I should be aware of?

Could it be a firewall or antivirus issue, do you think?

Is this a virtual machine?

Auf meinem Rechner macht das Update das definitiv nicht. Tut mir leid, aber ich habe keine Ahnung, warum es das tut. Ich installiere immer in das Standardverzeichnis Program Files(x86)\AVRco. Ob das das Problem ist, weiß ich nicht, aber ich hätte es nicht gedacht. Ich werde es so bald wie möglich ausprobieren.

Haben Sie das Programm immer deinstalliert und neu installiert?

Gibt es irgendwelche besonderen Aspekte, die ich beachten sollte?

Könnte es ein Problem mit der Firewall oder dem Antivirusprogramm sein, was meinen Sie?

Ist dies eine virtuelle Maschine?

I always uninstall via Windows / Start / Control Panel / Programs, and look in the folder to see if there is anything else in there and then delete it manually.

No, I have released everything, otherwise the update would not be sucked via PED

No, I installed Windows 10.

I uninstalled everything again today and put AVRinst4 in Program Files(x86)\AVRco. Installed.
But here comes an error before I have made the update via the PED. Error report comes, I think miparo programmed it.
Then I did the update and again files are missing in the IDE folder

Am I the only one having this error? Can anyone else confirm that the installation is ok?

Ich deinstalliere immer über Windows / Start / Sysstemsteuerung / Programme, und schaue in den Ordner ob da noch was drin ist und lösche das dann per Hand.

Nein, ich habe alles frei gegeben, sonst würde auch nicht das update über PED gesaugt

Nein, Windows 10 habe ich Installiert.

Ich habe heute noch einmal alles deinstalliert und AVRinst4 in den Program Files(x86)\AVRco. Installiert.
Aber hier kommt schon ein Fehler bevor ich das update über das PED gemacht habe. Fehler Report kommt, ich glaube das hat mal miparo programmiert.
Dann habe ich das Update gemacht und wieder fehlen Datein im IDE Ordner

Bin ich der einzigste der diese Fehler hat ? Kann kein andere bestädigen das die Installation ok ist.?

ich teste es Heute Abend mal auf einer VMWare Maschine, welches Setup / Download soll ich zum Test nutzen?

Über welches Tool erstellst Du das Setup? Ich nutze seit vielen Jahren das InnoSetup mit dem IS-Tool, wenn es mit dem aktuellen Setup Probleme gibt. Biete ich Dir dann gerne meine Hilfe an ein entsprechendes Setup mit dem IS-Tool/InnoSetup zu erstellen.
Nur hat dieses Tool kein direkten Update/Download, das mache ich mit einen anderen Tool.

Which tool do you use to create the setup? I use for many years the InnoSetup with the IS tool, if there are problems with the current setup. I offer you then gladly my help to create an appropriate setup with the IS-Tool/InnoSetup.
Only this tool has no direct update/download, I do that with another tool.

Hallo Merlin,

habe es gerade auf einer VM Ware Windows7, 64bit und auf einer Windows 10, 64bit getestet.
Es lässt sich sauber installieren, man muss dem Defender beim starten des Setups unter Win10 nur sagen er soll es trotzdem ausführen. Weiterhin habe ich den Kompatibilitätsmodus mit Win8 eingestellt und die IDE mit Admin-Rechten gestartet.

Ich kann die Dateien übersetzen und erzeugen.

Wenn Du willst, kann ich es Heute Abend nochmal unter Windows 11 testen.

Hello Merlin,

Just tested it on a VMWare Windows7, 64bit and on a Windows 10, 64bit.
It installs cleanly, you just have to tell Defender to run it anyway when starting the setup on Win10. Furthermore I have set the compatibility mode with Win8 and started the IDE with admin rights.

I can compile and build the files.

If you want, I can test it again tonight under Windows 11.
