Hello everyone, I got the EvaBoard162USB from E-lab and I want to use the USB-port to communicate to a PC as with a normal com-port. In my specific project I'm intend to use this for a bootloader. Is there any exempel or help on how to do this?
Regards

Hello Roger,

our very first intention was to implement the CDC driver (virtual ComPort) for the AVRs providing the USB.

But the experience with FTDI USB-ComPorts showed many problems with systems providing additional ComPorts, also BlueTooth often simulate them. So in December we switched to real USB drivers which are working perfectly now. And, as a very good advantage, there is an automatic INF and SYS builder included. So it is a children's game to generate the necessary PC drivers/files which then must be passed to your customer.

I hope the implementation including demo programs and manual updates will be released in the next one or two updates.

Rolf, Thanks for your answer. I'm looking forward to this and will keep my eyes open for the updates.

Roger.
