Install Failed - v 4.99.40

Hi Rolf.

I just tried to down load the latest AVRCo.

All downloaded normally. At the end I was asked if i wanted ted to exit PED and install. I pressed the 'Ja' button and apart from the dialog box disappearing, nothing happened. PED didnot exit and download did not start.

I tried twice before installing by hand.

Regards

Merlin.

Hello Merlin,

you are the second one reported this. But I and Gunter were unable to verify this. We had no problems. Sorry.

Hello Rolf,

I can confirm the "problem" too. On Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit and on Win 7 Professional 32 bit the Installation does not start - and I also get Ja/Nein Buttons in an english window. So, manual installation required.

However, on my old Win 2003 Server 32 Bit the update from 3.99.38 starts automatically and I got Yes/No buttons in the "Close IDE" dialogue.

Regards, Michael

The problem with the crashes when there is no internet connection during automatic update is solved, however.

Just for additional info, I get the problem on XP professional.

Again, like Michael, I get ja/nein rather than Yes/No even though the message box is in English.

Is there anything can do to help isolate the problem?

Regards

Merlin.

Hi,

it seems to be only an issue when trying the update from the menu inside the PED.
I need to download the AVRupdate.exe, copy it to the target PC and run it there.
This works, even if the PED32 is already active on the target PC.

Stimmt, es war nicht wie gewohnt: nach dem Download wurde das Update nicht automatisch installiert. Habs dann halt manuell gestartet ...... :-) XPprof 32-Bit

Hello,

Same problem here (WIN7 32bit).
I then installed update manually.
