Hi,

Is it possible that there is a small bug in the UPP-2 programmer that makes it not program the fusebits of the XMega MCUs?
The fusebit setting is correct and the option to program the fusebits ia also set, but after some unexplained problems I found out that almost all boards programmed with the UPP-2 (in stand alone mode) still had the JTAG fusebit enabled, this caused weird problems.

I found out by attaching my ISP-3 to such a not working board and reading back the fuses.

Hi,

When I use the programmer software and I click the "Program All" button the fuse bit is correctly written.

It seems to be a problem in the standalone mode of the UPP-2.

Hello Jeroen,

it took me several days to find out what happened there. Very, very difficult. A strange behaviour of the XMegas under some circumstances.
Problem is fixed now. The next AVRco update will have new update files for all programmer types (ISP3, UPP1 and UPP2). Also a complete new separate programmer installation will be ready for download in two days.
