Hello all,

I would like to write and read data on a standard USB stick mass storage, I know that XMEGA have the USB pins D+ and D-, but is it only for the work as device ? or is it possible to work as host and write and read datas directly on the USB stick ?

Thanks for your help !

Hello Vincent,

for controlling an USB stick or similar the AVR must provide the USB Host mode.
At this time the XMegas don't have this property.

Hello Rolf,

Yes I understand now, I have to use a USB host controller like FTDI products, price is high, so I'll stay with my actual SD card which works fine....
Be carefull with your daughter's hand I suppose :-)
