Not guilty.

I think that they are more likely to do with the simulator/debugger.

Hello bgoolsby,

these switches are only for the SIM.
They tell the SIM that the code between must not be executed
because there maybe a polling of peripheral bits which are never
valid in simulation which may lead to a deadlock of the SIM execution.
